I took this picture of my dog a few weeks ago, using a Pentax Spotmatic. The purpose of using this camera was to test out two things - a) the Meyer-Optik 58/1.9 lens that I'd recently gotten and b) Kodak's new version of their Portra 400 film.
When I took this picture, I didn't notice the serious look that Tufo is giving off, nor did I realize what a great job Kodak did at redoing Portra 400. You can still see detail in the spots where the sun is reflecting off the snow, as well as on the black fur of Tufo's coat, which is entirely in shadow.
